Dr
Heffernan has over 20 years experience in the global life
science market and joined NextGen Sciences from Upstate Ltd,
where he held the position of Managing Director, Europe. Previously
Dr Heffernan set up and ran Northern European operations for
Promega, a major US biotechnology company, then ran the North
American commercial operations. He has also held senior executive
positions with Sigma-Aldrich Corp, USA and Celltech, UK. Dr
Heffernan has a BSc and PhD in Chemistry from Strathclyde
University. |

Mr
Wigley has a wide range of project management, IT systems
and manufacturing experience gained in companies including
the Mars Corporation, Cambridge Systems Technology, as a manufacturing
consultant, and in his role as operations director at Anglia
Business Computers where he was a board member. Mr Wigley
has extensive expertise in all aspects of operations and project
planning relevant to NextGen Sciences' business and his expertise
has enabled the company to take products from concept to design
to production in the shortest possible times. Mr Wigley’s
first degree is in Physics from the University of Nottingham.

Frank
Matthäi started his business career as an independent
consultant to entrepreneurs who were establishing new businesses.
In the early 1990 he became managing partner of Ponton, an
innovative group working in the field of interactive media.
With his partners he developed the company to a group with
three divisions: software developing, strategic consultancy
and interactive media. In addition they developed a portfolio
of innovative companies in which they held a minority stake.
Since the end of 2001 Mr. Matthäi has been an independent
consultant for small and midcap technology companies. His
main areas of focus are the financial, administration and
strategic functions. Mr.
Matthäi has wide experience as a CFO and in the acquisition
of and management of companies. |
