Michael Pisano, Ph.D

Dr. Pisano has many years experience in protein biochemistry
including more than 11 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
His expertise includes protein separations, protein characterization,
electrophoresis, and mass spectrometry. Dr. Pisano has managed
laboratory research groups within the pharmaceutical industry
in the areas of protein production and proteomics since 1996.
Positions he has held in the pharmaceutical industry include
Group Leader, Proteomics and Protein Production, Dept. of
Biotechnology, Rhone-Poulenc Rorer Pharmaceuticals; Head,
Protein Sciences, Dept. of Biotechnology Aventis Pharmaceuticals;
Vice-President Proteomic R&D, Genomic Solutions, Inc.
In addition, Dr. Pisano serves on the Scientific Advisory
Board of several life sciences companies and instrumentation
manufacturers. Dr. Pisano is one of the founders of PRS (2001).

Rosenau

Mr.
Rosenau has more than 21 years of experience in development
and marketing of innovative technologies. He was engaged in
the implementation and development of new technologies in
a variety of leadership positions.In 1993, Mr Rosenau founded
OAR Consulting GmbH and led his company to a successful IPO
in 1998 and created an international operation supplying innovative
solutions for information technology. He initiated several
mergers and consequently improved the service spectrum of
his company. In 2000 his success was honored with the award
“finalist entrepreneur of the year”. Since 2003
he has supported IT-related companies in the development of
their business strategy, financing and project planning.

Matthäi

Frank
Matthäi started his business career as an independent
consultant to entrepreneurs who were establishing new businesses.
In the early 1990s he became managing partner of Ponton, an
innovative group working in the field of interactive media.
With his partners he developed the company to a group with
three divisions: software developing, strategic consultancy
and interactive media. In addition they developed a portfolio
of innovative companies in which they held a minority stake.
Since the end of 2001 Mr. Matthäi has been an independent
consultant for small and midcap technology companies. His
main areas of focus are the financial, administration and
strategic functions. Mr. Matthäi has wide experience
as a CFO and in the acquisition of and management of companies.

Jörg Neermann, PhD

Jörg
Neermann, PhD, is a Partner at LSP Life Science Partners in
the Munich Office. He joined LSP in early 2007. He started
his venture capital career in 1996 at Atlas Venture, where
he was a key member of the international life sciences team.
In 1998, Dr. Neermann joined DVC Deutsche Venture Capital
to develop and build the life sciences activities DVC. In
2002, he became DVC’s Managing Partner, with responsibility
for the overall investment strategy and operations.
In that capacity he served on the boards of e.g. Topotarget
A/S, G2M AG, Epigenomics AG, 4SC AG, Probiodrug AG, Keyneurotek
AG, Avontec GmbH and was involved in numerous transactions
from seed financing to IPO or trade sale.
Jörg holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. degree in biotechnology, which
he studied at the TU Braunschweig and at M.I.T., Cambridge.
He also studied economics at Harvard Business School and at
the TU Braunschweig. During his time as a Ph.D. student at
the German National Research Institute for Biotechnology (GBF),
Jörg was also worked for a strategic management consultancy
firm. |

Dr. Thomas Borcholte

Dr. Borcholte has more than 20 years international pharmaceutical sales and marketing experience with companies such as GlaxoWellcome and Biogen,
where he launched the blockbuster drug AVONEX®. He was a co-founder of ARCHELON Pharma Ltd. and remains the acting CBO for Wilex AG. He has
raised finance to build companies through merger and acquisition in particular as a board member during the merger of G2M with TopoTarget and the
IPO of the combined Group. He was the General Manager of World EXPO 2000 in Germany overseeing global marketing and sales, licensing, concessions,
sponsoring and merchandising He was also General Manager of the sports licensing business of EM.TV & Merchandising with responsibility for
marketing and licensing of sports events including the Formula 1 racing organization SLEC. |
