Differential Analysis

The ultimate goal of many proteomic projects is to perform a comparative analysis of a mixture of proteins extracted from a biological sample. The most frequently used method for differential analysis of proteins is protein profiling by two dimensional electrophoresis (2-DE).

NextGen Sciences utilizes a high-end 2-DE analysis software package, ProGenesis (Non-Linear Dynamics), to perform automated, high-throughput spot detection and matching of 2-DE datasets. We provide our clients with a final report that includes the unedited data as an interactive web page, and a qualified summary of differentially expressed spots. Qualification of 2-DE expression data includes the visual confirmation of computer-generated results by NextGen Sciences.
